HOW WE WORK
Coaching aims to go forward by focusing on the
practical situation and the actions that can be taken to resolve
the various issues – bridging the gap between where you are now
and where you want to be.
I do not give advice as to what you should do with
your life – that must be your choice. My focus is to assist
you in finding the answer for yourself, whatever the situation. For that
I offer a partnership that will assist you to make the changes you want,
through an objective and impartial approach that is completely confidential
and non- judgemental, based around three main aspects:
- To listen to you – to hear your needs, your wants, your hopes
– your dreams.
- To ask questions so as to encourage you to explore the situation in
a new way: to help you to look at new options and to consider previous
ideas and possibilities in a different way.

Finally, I offer you the option of a follow-up call sometime after our
series of sessions has ended to see how you are getting on. (Also it is
exciting for me to find that you have been successful in maintaining the
result your desired).
I offer an initial discussion free of charge,
in order to explore what you hope to gain from Coaching - and if you feel
that we can work together. That is likely to last for 20 to 30 minutes.
After the initial discussion, subsequent sessions usually last from 45
minutes to 1 hour. Generally they are by telephone but they also can be
The number of sessions depends on several factors. A general average
is six at three to four weekly intervals – inevitably with work
for you to do in between. I ask for payment in advance for the whole course,
and at the end of the fourth we review the progress that is being made
against your overall aim. You are free to end the coaching at any time,
when I will refund the fees for any sessions not taken up. The fee is
£60 per session, reduced to £50 if initially you book for
6 sessions. For business focused issues where you may wish to work more
intensively, we would discuss appropriate arrangements.
I also offer the option of a one-off session of at least one hour during
which you could, for example:
- talk through a situation
- discuss how to solve a problem
- consider how to defuse a potential crisis
- ease some of the stresses of life.
If you then wanted to continue, that initial session would count as the
first of the series mentioned above.
I ask you to be on time for meetings or with your telephone calls to
me, and to give me at least 24 hours notice if you need to change an appointment.
